Do I need technical experience for an expedition?

It depends on the summit. There is a natural progression: entry-level climbs like Mirador del Tolosa or Adolfo Calle prepare you for bigger objectives such as Vallecitos, Nevado del Chañí or Cerro Plata. We help you choose according to your experience.

What does a MONS expedition include?

EPGAMT and AAGPM certified professional guides, itineraries with acclimatization days, mountain logistics and proven safety protocols. The services included are detailed on each expedition page.

When is the high mountain season in the Andes?

The main season runs from spring to southern autumn (September–April). In winter we run specific programs such as Winter at 4,000 on Cerro Mirador del Tolosa. Check the departure calendar.

How should I train for an expedition?

We recommend building an aerobic and strength base sustained over time. MONS also offers a mountain-specific Training program you can combine with your expedition preparation.
